Montreal, June 28, 2022. Evanov Radio Group station CFMB 1280 multilingual radio announced the launch of its newest radio program that will be conducted in Italian. The broadcast, aptly named Le Mattine (The Mornings), airs Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. It features a mix of current events and cultural news with music from the popular genre and audience interaction. Montreal’s Italian community is the oldest and most established in the country and has been the mainstay of CFMB’s programming grid throughout its many decades.
Le Mattine is hosted by Vittoria Zorfini, who is a journalist by trade and has, among her other qualifications, experience with print and digital/social media as well as broadcast experience. She served as reporter journalist and editor with Panoram. In 2017, Vittoria became a fixture on CFMB hosting feature cultural programs aired under the auspices of the Italian Cultural Institute. From there, Vittoria regularly substituted CFMB’s prime time afternoon host.
Zorfini said: “I am pleased and excited for this next phase of my career and to be working alongside such dedicated and talented individuals who deliver high quality programs to Italian Canadians in Montreal and with the new technologies to Italians the world over. My passion for radio and our community will converge each day with Le Mattine.”
Le Mattine is fixed between the popular morning show, Il Risveglio (The Awakening) with Silvio Orvieto and Buon Pomeriggio (Good Afternoon) with Ivana Bombardieri.
