Toronto, November 22, 2021 – Evanov Communications flagship station Z103.5 (CIDC-FM) launches its new morning show, Z Mornings with Rick Campanelli and Sandra Crofford, on-air weekdays from 6 am-10 am.
With a wealth of media and broadcast experience, this newly paired exciting team will light- up the morning across Southern Ontario with great music, entertainment news and information relevant for the times and the audience. Z Mornings will feature newscasts at the top of the hour at 6 am, 7 am and 8 am, along with regular traffic updates. Rick and Sandra will be playing all your favourites hits from the 80s, 90s and 2000s along with the Wayback Wakeup after the 7 am newscast. In addition, Rick will be providing all the headlines locally and from around the world, including the latest gossip from Hollywood with What’s Trending at 6:30 am, 7:30 am, 8:30 am and 9:30 am. Just after “What’s Trending” at 8:30, DJ Drew will be mixing-up All the Hits with the daily Z Morning Mix.

The radio landscape is no different and has needed to evolve and adapt to the times. In this context, we felt it was time to introduce an exciting new morning team. Many in Z’s audience know Rick from his days with Much Music. Known as ‘Rick the Temp’ and nicknamed ‘The Franchise’, he is one of the most popular and recognized personalities through his on-air work on Much Music for over 10 years. He moved to reporting for ET Canada for a further 12 years. Rick is very community-minded and is regularly involved in several charitable initiatives. Rick, who is no stranger to the GTA and Southern Ontario, will provide a familiar, yet fresh, addition to morning radio in the Toronto CMA.
About Sandra Crofford: Sandra has been in radio in various markets across Canada, following her passion for radio since she was a child. For the last year, Sandra has been the midday host on Z103.5. With consistent great ratings, coupled with her fun and unique personality, it was time to bring that energy to the morning show!
